Really liked it! I play and have seen a lot of horror games, but this one was exceptional! The tension was held high and the visuals were better than mediocre. The first hour or two was a blast to experience, never have I thought that a RPG Maker game could be thrilling.
However, I am totally stuck right now. I got the obiously bad security room ending. I have beaten all but two WRONG TURNS (Where are they? I got the Ball Pit, Kitchen, Arcade, Streets and the backstage), I got some key items that I can't find an use for and there are characters that are still surrounded by mistery. I can't help the crying child, nor the red guy. I can't get access to the final collector's statue. I've touchhhed every interactable thing.
Love the game and I would really like for someone to point me in the right direction.
Will the gameplay be more story based, or will you have to complete objectives while events happen?
The second idea could work really well in my opinion, for an example you can't be near water when bubbles start to rise, you have to get inside when some sound or visual cue starts. My idea would have multiple monsters and you kind of have a time limit, it's going to get dark and the events will happen more frequently. So you have to complete your objectives as fast as you can, take risks, but at the same time be careful. (Drop your buckets and oluet and run to a safe spot!)
That kind of gameplay could be really interesting, terrifying at first, when you don't know about the events, and keep the tensions rising. You could also make different modes with the existing events and stuff.
Just an idea, thought it would be a cool way to use the setting and Finnish folklore. Whatever route you go down, I hope you make the game you wanted!
This was amazing! Definitely the best game on hauntedps1. I was pleasantly suprised from all the small details, from the ash tray, to the different "endings". As someone who has been to a sauna, the gameplay felt very natural, as weird as that sounds.
The style was executed flawlessly, usually people don't try that much, just throw a couple of shaders and shitty sound effects and done. This however was nostalgia inducing, even though I have never owned a console from that time. The game seems very niche, but that made it very refreshing. I loved the Finland vibe and the main character.
Amazing work, keep up the good work. I will definitely keep an eye out for you!
